Every piece starts as a sketch in our Miami studio — the hoops, the chains, the name necklaces, all of it. Then it's made by hand, to order, in that same studio.
An initial necklace is a name necklace for people who'd rather not spell it out. This collection runs from a single pavé letter to five letters on one chain — sideways, upright, set beside a pearl, a heart or a CZ. All 18K gold vermeil over solid sterling silver, or gold plated, in gold, silver or rose gold, on chains from 14 to 20 inches.
An initial is the most restrained personalized piece there is — one letter, no explanation. What tips any of them cheap is scale and finish: an oversized letter in thin plating looks like a gift-shop buy, a small one cut clean doesn't. If you're worried about it, go smaller than feels right and sideways rather than upright.
They've outlasted most trends because they aren't really one. What's changed is size — the chunky block letter has given way to fine pavé and sideways settings that read as texture until someone looks twice. Stacked initials, two or three on one chain, is the version selling now.
Yours, most of the time. A partner's initial is a bigger statement than people expect and it dates badly; a child's is the exception nobody questions. Some people wear a letter for someone they've lost, which is the quietest version of the whole idea. If you're gifting and unsure, their own initial is always safe.
It's the easiest pendant to layer, because a single letter doesn't compete. Put it at 14 or 16 inches with a longer pendant below at 18 or 20. Two initials on two chains at different lengths also works — one yours, one theirs. Sideways lies flatter under a second chain; upright is more legible across a table.
Yes, though usually differently — a single block letter on a heavier chain at 20 inches, rather than a fine pavé letter at 16. The pendant is the same; the proportions are what change.
Up to five on the pavé style. Two or three is where most orders land — a couple, or a set of children. Past three the pendant gets wide enough that you'll want an 18 inch chain to carry it without it riding up.
