What can actually be personalized?

The text, the font, the metal colour, the chain length, and on many pieces the stone. Names run up to four on one chain, five on bar and teardrop styles. What you can't change is the underlying shape — a bar stays a bar, a nameplate stays a nameplate.

How long does a personalized necklace take?

A few business days in production, then transit. It can't be pulled forward from stock because there isn't any — each one is cut after you order. Order a week ahead of a date rather than a day, and the exact window is on each product page.

Can personalized necklaces be returned?

Personalized pieces are the one category most jewellers can't take back, for the obvious reason. Check the spelling twice before confirming. Anything faulty, or cut differently from what you submitted, is ours to put right.

Is a personalized necklace a good gift?

It's one of the few where the answer is usually yes, because it's specific to her by definition. The two things to get right are the spelling and the font. Script is the safe default. If she already owns a name necklace, the version with a birthstone beside it is the upgrade that doesn't repeat what she has.

Will the engraving wear off?

Engraving is cut into metal, not printed on it, so it doesn't disappear — edges soften over years. On gold vermeil the cut goes through the plating to the silver beneath, showing as a lighter line inside the letters. Some people like the contrast; if you don't, choose silver.

Can you make names in other alphabets?

Arabic and Hebrew both work and are the two most requested. Send the spelling exactly as you want it cut — nothing gets corrected or approximated. If you're unsure how a name should be rendered, ask before ordering rather than after.
