Birthstone Bracelets

Up to five spaced along the chain. Three is where most orders land — enough to mean something, few enough that the bracelet still hangs properly. Stones bunched too closely sit awkwardly on the curve of the wrist in a way they don't on a straight necklace chain.

The natural birthstone pieces use genuine stones — real amethyst, garnet, turquoise, moonstone, onyx and the rest, cut and set. They aren't high-clarity gemstones and aren't priced as though they were. Where a design needs sparkle rather than colour we use CZ, and the product page says which.

Worth knowing before you choose. Opal, moonstone, turquoise and pearl sit at 5 to 6 on the Mohs scale, and wrists knock against desks, doors and keyboards constantly. They'll mark faster than garnet, ruby or sapphire. A bezel setting protects a soft stone far better than claws.

Her children's stones rather than her own — that's the version that gets worn daily instead of saved. Keep it to three or four stones on a fine chain if you want it to work as everyday jewelry; more than that reads as a keepsake.

One finger between the chain and the wrist. Stone-set bracelets are better slightly snug — a loose chain rotates and the stones end up underneath, which defeats the point of choosing them.

The chain, yes. Links come out easily or an extender goes in. Stones spaced along the full length limit how much can come out before the spacing looks wrong, so buy close to your measurement rather than planning to alter.
