This natural diamond oval ring in 14K solid white gold sets ten small round diamonds side by side inside one bright white gold oval, so the head reads as a single larger oval stone from across the room. Four slim ball-tipped claws hold its corners, and a fine line of pavé diamonds runs down each shoulder of the slim band. It is the look of an oval solitaire, made from about 0.27 carats of natural diamonds in total, and it is made to order in your size.

Every diamond in our fine jewelry is natural. Each one was formed deep within the earth, most more than a billion years ago, long before it was cut, polished and set in gold.

Many pieces that look like ours are made with lab-grown diamonds. Ours are not. Every piece in our fine jewelry collection is graded by the International Gemological Institute (IGI) and ships with its own certificate, so you never have to take our word for it.

Because each piece is crafted by master goldsmiths in Istanbul and comes directly to you, with no distributors or retail markups in between, we can offer natural diamonds at prices you would expect to pay for lab-grown.

Are the diamonds real, and how much diamond is there?
Yes, every stone is a natural mined diamond, about 0.27 carat in total, FG colour and SI clarity, and the ring ships with an IGI (International Gemological Institute) certificate, so none of it is taken on trust. The weight is shared between the small diamonds packed into the oval head and the tiny ones along each shoulder. Every ring is made by hand, so the total can move a hair either way; the certificate is the final word. Nothing here is cubic zirconia, moissanite or lab-grown.

Is the oval one big diamond?
No, and that is the clever part. The oval is an illusion setting: ten small round diamonds are set close together inside a frame of bright white gold, with fluted, diamond-cut metal filling the little gaps at the edge, so from across a table it reads as one larger oval stone. Four slim claws hold the corners. You get the outline and sparkle of a bigger oval for the price of several small, well-cut diamonds, which is a trade most people would make twice.

Are these 14K solid gold all the way through?
Yes — solid 14K gold, no plating, no base metal, nothing to wear off. 14K means 58.5% pure gold alloyed for strength, which is the standard for fine jewelry you wear daily. It is naturally hypoallergenic, it will not tarnish, and it is the one tier in our range you can hand down without a second thought. The only thing that ever needs attention is the occasional polish.

Can this be an engagement ring?
It can, and it is a popular way to get the look of an oval solitaire on a sensible budget. The oval runs along the finger, which flatters the hand, and the slim band leaves room beside it for a wedding ring later. It works just as well as a promise ring, an anniversary ring, or the ring you buy yourself on a Tuesday.

What do FG colour and SI clarity mean in practice?
FG sits near the top of the colour scale, in the near-colourless range: the diamonds face up bright and white, and white gold keeps them looking that way. SI (slightly included) means small natural inclusions that a grader finds under 10x magnification; on stones this small, at the distance anyone actually looks at a ring, they are not what you see. Good colour with a sensible clarity is where the sparkle-for-money sits.

Can I wear a solid gold ring in the shower and to sleep?
Yes to both. Solid 14K gold does not tarnish, has no plating to wear through and does not react to water or sweat, so this is the ring you put on and forget about. Soap film and lotion will dull any gold over time — a soak in warm water with a drop of dish soap, then a soft cloth, brings the shine back in a minute. Take it off for the gym and heavy lifting: gold is a soft metal, and a ring is the piece that takes the knocks.

How do I get the size right, and can I return it?
Each ring is made to your size after you order, so it is final sale and returns and exchanges are not accepted. Measure before you order: wrap a strip of paper round the base of the finger, mark where it meets, measure the length in millimetres and match it to a US size chart (about 52 mm is a 6, 54 mm a 7). Measure at the end of the day when your hands are at their largest, and size to the knuckle if yours is wide. The diamonds run part of the way round the band, so it cannot simply be resized later. If it arrives damaged or not as ordered, contact us within 7 days and we will put it right.

Can I wear it every day?
Yes, it is built for it. Solid 14K gold does not tarnish and has no plating to wear off, and the head sits low enough not to snag on everything you own. Take it off for the gym, for cleaning and for the pool, since chlorine is hard on the alloy, and now and then wash it in warm water with a drop of dish soap, brushing gently under the head and along the shoulders. Have the claws and the small pavé stones checked every couple of years, as you would with any diamond ring.

How long does this ring take to arrive?

How do I find my ring size at home?
Wrap a thin strip of paper around the base of the finger, mark where it overlaps, measure the length in millimetres and match it to a US ring size chart: 49 mm is a size 5, 52 mm a 6, 54 mm a 7, 57 mm an 8, 59 mm a 9. Measure at the end of the day when fingers are largest, and make sure the strip slides over the knuckle. If you already own a ring that fits, measure its inside diameter instead — 16.5 mm is a 6, 17.3 mm a 7, 18.2 mm an 8. This ring comes in US 5 to 12. Between sizes? Go up — a slightly loose ring is wearable, a tight one is not.
