Description

A four-leaf clover of natural diamonds in solid 18K white gold. Four heart-shaped petals, each filled with a fan of slim tapered baguettes and edged with small round brilliants, meet at a claw-set round diamond in the centre. Small bezel-set diamonds are spaced along the fine cable chain on both sides, so the sparkle carries all the way up towards the collarbone. A bright, graphic pendant made to be worn every day.

Are these real diamonds?
Yes. Every stone is a natural mined diamond, 0.71 carat in all: 0.20 carat of E–F colour, VVS–VS clarity diamonds and 0.51 carat of E–F colour, SI clarity diamonds. The necklace ships with an IGI (International Gemological Institute) certificate. Not lab-grown, not simulated, and not a lucky find in a field.

How is the clover made?
Four heart-shaped petals meet at a round brilliant diamond held in fine claws. Each heart is filled with a fan of slim tapered baguette diamonds, edged along its curves with a row of small round diamonds and finished with tiny round diamonds at its point. The baguettes throw long, clean flashes and the round stones add pinpoint sparkle, so the clover reads crisply from across a room and rewards a closer look.

Is it 18K solid gold all the way through?
Yes — solid 18K gold, no plating, no base metal, nothing to wear off. 18K is 75% pure gold, where the 14K most fine jewellery is made from is 58.5%, so this is a step up in purity and in colour. It is naturally hypoallergenic, it will not tarnish, and it is the kind of piece you can hand down without a second thought. The only thing it ever needs is the occasional polish.

How big is it?
About 1.5 cm across and the same tall, roughly the size of a fingertip, on a fine cable chain. It is made for every day, not just for occasions. Each piece is made by hand, so the size can vary very slightly.

What are the little diamonds on the chain?
Small round diamonds in smooth, rounded bezel settings, spaced along the chain on both sides of the clover, so the sparkle carries up towards the collarbone. The clover is fixed to the chain at both lobes of its top petal, so it stays face forward and does not flip or spin.

Can I shower or sleep in a solid gold necklace?
A quick shower will not hurt solid 18K gold: it does not tarnish, has no plating to wear through and does not react to water. We still suggest taking a fine chain off to sleep, because a chain can kink or knot against a pillow over time. Soap film, lotion and hairspray dull any gold, so soak it now and then in warm water with a drop of mild soap, rinse, and dry it with a soft cloth to keep the diamonds bright.

Is 18K white gold strong enough for every day?
Yes. 18K white gold is 75% pure gold, alloyed for strength and finished bright white. Diamond is the hardest gemstone there is, and the baguettes are set inside a polished gold frame on every petal. Take it off for the gym, the pool and lotions, and have the claws checked now and then, as you would with any fine piece.

Which chain length should I choose?
18 inches is how it is worn in the photographs: the clover rests on the upper breastbone, a little below the hollow of the throat, and sits well in an open collar or over a fine high neck. 16 inches lifts it to just below the throat, 20 inches drops it lower for higher necklines, and 14 inches sits close at the base of the neck.

What length necklace should I get?
If you are unsure, choose 18 inches — it sits just below the collarbone and works on almost everyone and with almost every neckline. 16 inches sits at the collarbone (the most popular length for dainty pendants and for layering as the top chain). 14 inches is a choker fit. 20 inches drops a few inches lower and is the right choice over a crew neck or as the bottom layer in a stack. This piece comes in 14, 16, 18 and 20 inches. If you are between lengths, go longer — a chain can always sit a little lower, and if a chain you already own comes up short, our 1, 2 and 3 inch extenders fix that in one clip.
