Description

A natural diamond flower cocktail ring in 14K solid white gold, made for the evenings when a ring is the whole outfit. Three slim baguette diamonds stand side by side in a pavé oval at its heart, and twelve pointed petals open out around them: six airy marquise outlines with a little cluster of diamonds floating in each, alternating with six solid petals lit by a line of brighter round stones. About 1.59 carats of natural diamonds in all, IGI certified, on a plain polished band.

The Details

  • Metal: 14K solid white gold
  • Diamonds: natural (mined) diamonds, about 1.59 ct total weight
  • Grades: about 0.80 ct F–G colour, VS–SI clarity and about 0.79 ct E–F colour, SI clarity
  • Centre: an oval of three baguette-cut diamonds and small round brilliants, framed in a single row of pavé
  • Petals: twelve — six open marquise petals outlined in pavé, each with an inner marquise of round diamonds, and six solid petals set with round brilliants
  • Setting: claw-set throughout, on an open gallery; the plain polished band divides into two slim arms under the head
  • Sizes: US 5 to 12, made in your size
  • Certificate: IGI (International Gemological Institute)

Weight and carat can vary by up to 10% either way, because every ring is made by hand.

IGI Certified

Every diamond in this ring is a natural diamond, and the ring comes with a certificate from the International Gemological Institute (IGI). No cubic zirconia, no moissanite, no lab-grown stones.

Made for You

This ring is handcrafted to order in your size. Production takes up to 15 business days before it ships. Because it is made to your size, it is final sale.

Care

Store it on its own so the petals do not scratch other pieces. Clean it with warm water, a drop of mild soap and a soft brush, then dry it with a soft cloth. Take it off for the gym, gardening, cleaning and swimming.

Questions, answered

Everything people ask before they buy this rings.

Are the diamonds real, and how much diamond is there?

Yes — every stone in it is a natural mined diamond: about 1.59 carats in total, made up of two parcels graded separately — about 0.80 ct in F–G colour, VS–SI clarity, and about 0.79 ct in E–F colour, SI clarity. The ring ships with an IGI (International Gemological Institute) certificate, so none of that is taken on trust. Each ring is made by hand, so the weight can move a little either way; the certificate is the final word on your stones. Nothing here is cubic zirconia, moissanite or lab-grown.

What exactly is in the flower?

At the centre, three slim baguette diamonds stand side by side inside an oval of small round brilliants, framed by a single row of pavé. Twelve pointed petals radiate from it: six large open marquise petals, each a pavé outline round an open window with a little marquise of larger diamonds floating inside, alternating with six smaller solid petals set with a line of brighter round diamonds. The open windows let skin show through, which is why a flower this size still looks light on the hand rather than like a solid disc.

Are these 14K solid gold all the way through?

Yes — solid 14K gold, no plating, no base metal, nothing to wear off. 14K means 58.5% pure gold alloyed for strength, which is the standard for fine jewelry you wear daily. It is naturally hypoallergenic, it will not tarnish, and it is the one tier in our range you can hand down without a second thought. The only thing that ever needs attention is the occasional polish.

How big does it look on the hand?

It is a cocktail ring, and it wears like one: the flower runs along the finger, a little longer than it is wide, and covers the full width of the finger, as you can see on the hands in the photos on this page. Because every ring is finished by hand we do not quote millimetres for the head — the 360° video shows its height and profile from every side.

Is it comfortable to wear, and will it catch?

The flower sits on an open gallery above the band, and the plain polished band divides into two slim arms where it meets the head, which gives a large head a wider, steadier base and keeps it from rolling to one side. Like any flower with pointed petals, the tips can catch on loose knits and fine fabrics, so put it on after you dress and take it off before pulling on gloves or a sweater.

Can I wear a solid gold ring in the shower and to sleep?

Yes to both. Solid 14K gold does not tarnish, has no plating to wear through and does not react to water or sweat, so this is the ring you put on and forget about. Soap film and lotion will dull any gold over time — a soak in warm water with a drop of dish soap, then a soft cloth, brings the shine back in a minute. Take it off for the gym and heavy lifting: gold is a soft metal, and a ring is the piece that takes the knocks.

How do I get the size right, and can I return it?

Each ring is made to your size after you order, so it is final sale — returns and exchanges are not accepted. Measure before you order: wrap a strip of paper round the base of the finger, mark where it meets, measure the length in millimetres and match it to a US size chart (about 52 mm is a 6, 54 mm a 7). Measure at the end of the day when your hands are at their largest, and size to the knuckle if yours is wide. A wide head like this one sits most comfortably on a ring that is snug rather than loose. If it arrives damaged or not as ordered, contact us within 7 days and we will put it right.

Can I wear it every day?

You can, with the care any pavé ring wants. Solid 14K gold does not tarnish and has no plating to wear off. Take it off for the gym, gardening, cleaning and the pool — chlorine is hard on the alloy and knocks are hard on small claws — and wash it now and then in warm water with a drop of dish soap and a soft brush, working under the petals where lotion collects. Have the claws checked about once a year; a head carrying this many stones deserves it. Most people save a flower this size for evenings, and nobody stops them wearing it to the supermarket.

How long does this rings take to arrive?

This rings is made to order in your size, so please allow 2 to 3 weeks for us to finish it before it ships. Once it ships, free standard USPS shipping takes 2 to 4 business days in the US, and you get a tracking number by email the moment it is on its way. Because it is made for you, we cannot change the size after checkout, so take one more look at your size before you pay. It arrives in our signature gift box with a suede pouch. We ship worldwide; international delivery runs 5 to 14 business days depending on the destination, and any customs duties are the buyer's.

How do I find my ring size at home?

Wrap a thin strip of paper around the base of the finger, mark where it overlaps, measure the length in millimetres and match it to a US ring size chart: 49 mm is a size 5, 52 mm a 6, 54 mm a 7, 57 mm an 8, 59 mm a 9. Measure at the end of the day when fingers are largest, and make sure the strip slides over the knuckle. If you already own a ring that fits, measure its inside diameter instead — 16.5 mm is a 6, 17.3 mm a 7, 18.2 mm an 8. Between sizes? Go up — a slightly loose ring is wearable, a tight one is not.
