Description

Small round natural diamonds in polished yellow-gold bezels, set at intervals along a fine 14K solid yellow gold chain. Each brilliant sits in its own smooth collet and is linked into the chain on both sides, so the stations lie flat and keep their spacing as the chain drapes across the collarbone and down the chest. Quiet enough for every day, bright enough to be noticed, and easy to layer.

Every diamond in our fine jewelry is natural. Each one was formed deep within the earth, most more than a billion years ago, long before it was cut, polished and set in gold.

Many pieces that look like ours are made with lab-grown diamonds. Ours are not. Every piece in our fine jewelry collection is graded by the International Gemological Institute (IGI) and ships with its own certificate, so you never have to take our word for it.

Because each piece is crafted by master goldsmiths in Istanbul and comes directly to you, with no distributors or retail markups in between, we can offer natural diamonds at prices you would expect to pay for lab-grown.

Are these real diamonds?
Yes. Every station holds a natural mined round brilliant diamond, 0.26 carat in total, F–G colour and SI clarity, and the necklace ships with an IGI (International Gemological Institute) certificate. Natural, not lab-grown, and graded by a lab rather than by adjectives.

How big are the diamonds?
Small and delicate by design. Each diamond sits in a bezel about 3 millimetres across, roughly the size of a match head, and the stations are spaced well apart along the chain. Worn, they read as a scatter of small points of light rather than a row of stones. Each piece is made by hand, so sizes and carat weight can vary very slightly.

Is it 14K solid gold all the way through?
Yes — solid 14K gold, no plating, nothing underneath, nothing to wear off. 14K means 58.5% pure gold alloyed for strength, which is the standard for fine jewelry you wear daily. It is naturally hypoallergenic, it will not tarnish, and it is the kind of piece you can hand down without a second thought. The only thing it ever needs is the occasional polish.

Do the diamonds slide along the chain?
No. Each bezel is linked into the chain with a small gold ring on either side, so every station stays exactly where it was made and lies flat. Like any long, fine chain the necklace can drift a little to one side as you move; a light touch puts the centre diamond back in the middle.

Can I wear it every day?
Yes. Solid 14K gold does not tarnish, and a bezel is the most protective setting there is: a smooth rim of gold all the way round each stone, with no claws to catch on knitwear or hair. Take it off for the gym, the pool and lotions, and soak it now and then in warm soapy water to keep the diamonds bright.

Can I shower or sleep in a solid gold necklace?
A quick shower will not hurt solid 14K gold: it does not tarnish, has no plating to wear through and does not react to water. We still suggest taking a fine chain off to sleep, because a chain can kink or knot against a pillow over time. Soap film, lotion and hairspray dull any gold, so soak it now and then in warm water with a drop of mild soap, rinse, and dry it with a soft cloth to keep the diamonds bright.

Which chain length should I choose?
16 to 18 inches brings the centre diamond to the upper breastbone and suits an open collar or bare skin. 20 inches falls lower and is the easy choice over a high neckline or a fine turtleneck; 14 inches sits close to the throat. Between two lengths, go longer: a station necklace looks its best with room to drape.

Will it layer with my other necklaces?
Happily. The chain is fine and the bezels are low and smooth, so it sits well with a pendant or a plain chain. Choose lengths at least two inches apart so each one has its own line, and fasten the longest first. It is all yellow gold, so it matches anything else in yellow gold without negotiation.

How long does this necklace take to arrive?
It is handcrafted to order, so please allow up to 15 business days for it to be made before it ships. Once it ships, free standard USPS shipping takes 2 to 4 business days in the US, and you get a tracking number by email the moment it is on its way. What length necklace should I get?
If you are unsure, choose 18 inches — it sits just below the collarbone and works on almost everyone and with almost every neckline. 16 inches sits at the collarbone (the most popular length for dainty pendants and for layering as the top chain). 14 inches is a choker fit. 20 inches drops a few inches lower and is the right choice over a crew neck or as the bottom layer in a stack. This piece comes in 14, 16, 18 and 20 inches. If you are between lengths, go longer — a chain can always sit a little lower, and if a chain you already own comes up short, our 1, 2 and 3 inch extenders fix that in one clip.
