another piece i loved but sadly isnt gold filled as stated, plating is mid quality and already after such a short time its already coming off. this one did hold up better than all my other pieces and may in fact be the only of over a dozen that was actually made closer to as described, but still poor quality and not as described. very disappointing. i really loved this one, so ill still wear it even if ifs half silver... but I will likely never spend money from this seller again after every other piece bought has chipped away so very quickly despite supposedly being "gold-filled", which it absolutely all is not. be warned. their pieces are not the metal quality they claim! 😞 such a waste of money.

I got this necklace for my mom for Mother’s Day, and it turned out absolutely perfect. It has stones for February, March, May, September, and December—one for each of us—and the colors are spot on. They’re bright, clear, and exactly what I hoped they’d look like.

The necklace is okay but be warned: the pendants do NOT come off of the chain and make no mistakes with your order because they will not work with you or change anything even prior to the jewelry being assembled or shipped. They also claim in their item details that they accept returns but upon request they will deny you and say that they only accept returns for some of their other items. I messaged back and forth with Melissa, who was not the nicest, after I had a complication with 2 separate orders. After pointing out that their shop and item return policy in the descriptions are not being upheld, she offered a replacement/discount but after agreeing, I was ignored and never responded to on behalf of the shop, which was months ago at this point. It was supposed to be a gift for my sister but apparently it didn’t work out.

What does wearing a cross necklace mean?
For most women who wear one, it means faith — a daily, visible reminder of belief, worn close to the heart. For others it is heritage: a grandmother's faith, a christening gift, a family that prayed. A small plain cross reads as devotion; a pavé or CZ cross reads as celebration, the one for weddings and Easter. Worn every day, it stops being a statement and becomes part of you, which is what most wearers want.
What does a sideways cross necklace mean?
Officially, nothing different from an upright cross — the sideways cross began as a design choice for bracelets and lariats, where the cross lies along the chain. People have since given it meanings: that Jesus laid the cross down after the resurrection, that faith should be carried rather than displayed, or simply that it reads as jewelry first and symbol second. All three are fine answers. It is the cross for women who want to wear their faith quietly.
Is this necklace real gold?
Yes — it is 18K gold vermeil: a thick layer of real 18K gold bonded over solid 925 sterling silver. Vermeil is an FTC-defined standard, not a marketing word, and ours uses a gold layer at least five times thicker than standard plating. Under it is sterling silver, which is hypoallergenic and worth something on its own. You can also choose the Prestige Gold option (the same 18K gold over a brass core) if you want the look for less and wear it less often. Every vermeil piece is covered by our 2-year warranty.
Is it OK to wear a cross necklace if I'm not religious?
Yes. Nothing in any scripture forbids it, and the cross has been worn as an emblem of hope, protection and remembrance for centuries by people whose faith was complicated. What the devout ask is that it be worn with respect — not as a costume. If you wear it because it was your mother's, or because it means something to you that you cannot quite name, you are in good company.
What is a cross necklace that won't tarnish?
One with a real gold layer over a noble metal — which is what 18K gold vermeil is: thick 18K gold over solid sterling silver. It is tarnish-resistant for years with normal care (off before showers and swimming, on after perfume). Cheap crosses tarnish because they are brass under a hair-thin plating. If you want a cross you can truly never take off — the shower, the sea, the gym — choose a stainless steel piece; solid gold is the other answer, at a different price.
Can I shower or sleep in my gold vermeil necklace?
Sleep in it, yes. Shower in it, no. Water, sweat, perfume and hairspray are what age gold vermeil fastest, so the rule is simple: jewelry goes on last and comes off before the shower, the pool or the gym. Put it on after lotion and perfume have dried. When it is off, keep it in the pouch it came in — the pouch is anti-tarnish, not decoration. To clean it, a soft dry cloth; never jewelry dip or anything abrasive, which strips the gold. Treated this way, vermeil keeps its colour for years, which is exactly why we can put a 2-year warranty behind it.
What does a Star of David necklace mean, and can non-Jews wear it?
The six-pointed star is the emblem of Jewish identity — two triangles interlocked, read variously as the union of heaven and earth, God and humanity, or the six directions with God at the centre. Jews wear it as heritage, faith and solidarity. Non-Jews wearing it is not forbidden, but it is a Jewish symbol, and it is best worn in connection with that community — a partner's faith, a family's history, an act of support — rather than as a shape.
Is a cross necklace a good baptism, confirmation or first communion gift?

Choose the smallest cross for a child (14 or 16 inches), a plain or CZ cross for a confirmation, and a pendant-sized cross for an adult. What length necklace should I get?
If you are unsure, choose 18 inches — it sits just below the collarbone and works on almost everyone and with almost every neckline. 16 inches sits at the collarbone (the most popular length for dainty pendants and for layering as the top chain). 14 inches is a choker fit. 20 inches drops a few inches lower and is the right choice over a crew neck or as the bottom layer in a stack. This piece comes in 14, 16, 18 and 20 inches. If you are between lengths, go longer — a chain can always sit a little lower, and if a chain you already own comes up short, our 1, 2 and 3 inch extenders fix that in one clip.
