The ring is and was beautiful at the start- bright shiny, gorgeous, looked expensive! Only downside is the gems started falling out about 3 weeks after wearing it. If you want to wear it sparingly or aren’t rough with your hands I think it would last well.

How do you stack rings?
Odd numbers, one texture, one sparkle, and leave a finger bare. Start with a plain slim band, add one with texture (twisted, braided, beaded) and one with a little CZ, and keep them on one or two fingers rather than spreading five rings across both hands. Mix widths but not metals unless you do it deliberately. The stack looks intentional when one ring is clearly the anchor — a signet or a croissant — and the rest are supporting it.
What finger do you wear a stacking ring on, and do the fingers mean anything?
Any finger, and yes, a little. Ring finger: commitment (left hand in most of the West). Middle finger: balance and the ring you wear to be seen — the widest stack looks best here. Index: ambition and authority, the old signet finger. Pinky: independence and, in some families, the family crest. Thumb: willpower, and the hardest finger to size. For everyday stacking, the middle and index fingers of the right hand carry the most rings without crowding a wedding band.
Is this ring real gold?
Yes — it is 18K gold vermeil: a thick layer of real 18K gold bonded over solid 925 sterling silver. Vermeil is an FTC-defined standard, not a marketing word, and ours uses a gold layer at least five times thicker than standard plating. Under it is sterling silver, which is hypoallergenic and worth something on its own. You can also choose the Prestige Gold option (the same 18K gold over a brass core) if you want the look for less and wear it less often. Every vermeil piece is covered by our 2-year warranty.
How does an adjustable ring work — will it lose its shape?
The band is open at the back, so you press it gently tighter or ease it wider to fit — once, when it arrives, not every day. Sterling silver (the base under our 18K gold vermeil) holds the shape you set; it loosens only if you keep bending it, so find your fit and then leave it alone. Adjustable rings suit fingers that swell in heat, rings you move between fingers, and gifts where you do not know the size.
What is a signet ring, and what goes on it?
A ring with a flat face — originally pressed into wax to seal letters, which is why it was always engraved with a crest or initials. Today it is the ring with something to say: a letter, a birth flower, a north star, a single stone, or nothing at all, polished. Traditionally worn on the pinky; now on whichever finger you want a focal point. Ours are made in 18K gold vermeil over sterling silver, which takes engraving cleanly.
Can I shower or sleep in my gold vermeil ring?
Sleep in it, yes. Shower in it, no. Water, sweat, perfume and hairspray are what age gold vermeil fastest, so the rule is simple: jewelry goes on last and comes off before the shower, the pool or the gym. Put it on after lotion and perfume have dried. When it is off, keep it in the pouch it came in — the pouch is anti-tarnish, not decoration. To clean it, a soft dry cloth; never jewelry dip or anything abrasive, which strips the gold. Treated this way, vermeil keeps its colour for years, which is exactly why we can put a 2-year warranty behind it.
What is a croissant ring?
A domed band with deep ridges that curve around it like the layers of the pastry it is named after — the ring version of a sculpture. It reads as substantial without being heavy, catches light from every angle because of the ridges, and is the ring to wear alone when you want one thing on your hand. It comes in chunky, flat and adjustable versions; the flat one stacks.
Do gold vermeil rings tarnish faster than necklaces?
They wear faster, yes — not tarnish. A ring is the hardest-working piece of jewelry you own: keys, steering wheels, gym bars, hand sanitiser, dishes. The 18K gold layer on a ring's outer edge will soften sooner than on a necklace that just hangs there. Two habits double its life: take rings off to wash your hands and apply lotion, and keep them off in the gym. If one does not hold up with normal care inside two years, the warranty replaces it.
How fast does this ring ship?

You get a tracking number by email when it is on its way, and it arrives in our signature gift box with a suede pouch, so if it is a gift you are already done. We ship worldwide; international delivery runs 5 to 14 business days depending on the destination, and any customs duties are the buyer's.
How do I find my ring size at home?
Wrap a thin strip of paper around the base of the finger, mark where it overlaps, measure the length in millimetres and match it to a US ring size chart: 49 mm is a size 5, 52 mm a 6, 54 mm a 7, 57 mm an 8, 59 mm a 9. Measure at the end of the day when fingers are largest, and make sure the strip slides over the knuckle. If you already own a ring that fits, measure its inside diameter instead — 16.5 mm is a 6, 17.3 mm a 7, 18.2 mm an 8. This ring comes in US 3 to 12, in half sizes. Between sizes? Go up — a slightly loose ring is wearable, a tight one is not.
