Description

A small round disc of natural pavé diamonds, framed by a ring of fourteen polished rose-gold beads. The diamonds are set in white gold so they stay bright and white, while the bead frame and the fine cable chain are warm 14K rose gold. The chain is fixed to the frame at both sides, so the pendant sits level and faces forward instead of turning on a bail. Small enough to wear every day, with a soft sparkle that catches the light.

Are these real diamonds?
Yes. Every stone is a natural mined diamond, 0.13 carat in total, E–F colour and SI clarity, and the necklace ships with an IGI (International Gemological Institute) certificate. Natural, not lab-grown, and the certificate puts that in writing.

How big is the pendant?
Small: about 1.2 centimetres across, roughly the size of a shirt button, with the pavé disc in the centre and fourteen rose-gold beads around it. It reads clearly on the breastbone without turning into a statement piece. Each one is made by hand, so sizes can vary very slightly.

Is it 14K solid gold all the way through?
Yes — solid 14K gold, no plating, nothing underneath, nothing to wear off. 14K means 58.5% pure gold alloyed for strength, which is the standard for fine jewelry you wear daily. It is naturally hypoallergenic, it will not tarnish, and it is the kind of piece you can hand down without a second thought. The only thing it ever needs is the occasional polish.

Is it rose gold or white gold?
Both, quietly. The chain and the bead frame are 14K rose gold, and the diamonds sit in a white-gold pavé setting, which keeps them looking bright white instead of picking up a pink tint from the metal around them. From across a room it reads as a ring of warm gold around a spark of white.

Will it flip or slide on the chain?
No. The chain is fixed to the bead frame at two points near the top, so the pendant stays centred, level and facing forward instead of spinning on a bail. It is one of the few pendants that behaves itself all day.

Can I shower or sleep in a solid gold necklace?
A quick shower will not hurt solid 14K gold: it does not tarnish, has no plating to wear through and does not react to water. We still suggest taking a fine chain off to sleep, because a chain can kink or knot against a pillow over time. Soap film, lotion and hairspray dull any gold, so soak it now and then in warm water with a drop of mild soap, rinse, and dry it with a soft cloth to keep the diamonds bright.

Can I wear it every day?
Yes. Solid 14K gold does not tarnish, and the diamonds are held in tiny claws rather than glued. The domed pavé face is smooth to the touch and the beads have no sharp edges to catch on knitwear. Take it off for the gym, the pool and lotions, and check the clasp now and then as you would with any fine chain.

Which chain length should I choose?
On 16 or 18 inches the disc rests on the upper breastbone, as on our photographs, and sits nicely over a high neckline or a crew neck. 14 inches sits close to the base of the throat; 20 inches drops lower and suits an open neckline. Between two lengths, go longer.

How long does this necklace take to arrive?

What length necklace should I get?
If you are unsure, choose 18 inches — it sits just below the collarbone and works on almost everyone and with almost every neckline. 16 inches sits at the collarbone (the most popular length for dainty pendants and for layering as the top chain). 14 inches is a choker fit. 20 inches drops a few inches lower and is the right choice over a crew neck or as the bottom layer in a stack. This piece comes in 14, 16, 18 and 20 inches. If you are between lengths, go longer — a chain can always sit a little lower, and if a chain you already own comes up short, our 1, 2 and 3 inch extenders fix that in one clip.
