Description

A chandelier drop in 14K solid white gold: four small diamond flowers hung one below the other, ending in three tiny diamond drops that move when you do. Every petal is a round natural diamond with a smaller one set in behind it, so the column reads as a long line of separate sparkles rather than a block of pavé. 1.43 carats in all, IGI certified, and slim enough - about a centimetre wide - to wear with a high collar.

Every diamond in our fine jewelry is natural. Each one was formed deep within the earth, most more than a billion years ago, long before it was cut, polished and set in gold.

Many pieces that look like ours are made with lab-grown diamonds. Ours are not. Every piece in our fine jewelry collection is graded by the International Gemological Institute (IGI) and ships with its own certificate, so you never have to take our word for it.

Because each piece is crafted by master goldsmiths in Istanbul and comes directly to you, with no distributors or retail markups in between, we can offer natural diamonds at prices you would expect to pay for lab-grown.

Are these real diamonds?
Yes - every stone is a natural mined diamond, and the pair ships with an IGI (International Gemological Institute) certificate. There are 1.43 carats of diamond in total across the pair, all round brilliants, graded E-F colour and SI clarity: very white stones with tiny inclusions you would need a loupe and some patience to find. Nothing here is lab-grown and nothing is a simulant.

How do they fasten?
With a straight post and a push-on butterfly back. The post sits behind the round flower at the top, goes through your piercing, and the butterfly slides on behind the lobe; everything else hangs straight down from there. No hinge to line up and no catch to fiddle with - if you can put in a stud, you can put these in.

Are these 14K solid gold all the way through?
Yes — solid 14K gold, no plating, no base metal, nothing to wear off. 14K means 58.5% pure gold alloyed for strength, which is the standard for fine jewelry you wear daily. It is naturally hypoallergenic, it will not tarnish, and it is the one tier in our range you can hand down without a second thought. The only thing that ever needs attention is the occasional polish.

How long are they?
About 3.6 cm from the top flower to the tip of the lowest drop - just under an inch and a half - and about 1 cm across at the widest flower. The round top flower sits on the lobe and the rest hangs below it, ending well above the jaw. Each pair is made by hand, so the size can vary very slightly.

How is the design put together?
Four small flowers, one below the other. The top one is a full round flower - a centre diamond ringed by eight petals - and it sits on the lobe. The three below it are fan-shaped, each a centre diamond with five petals opening downward, and the last one carries three tiny drops that swing as you move. Each petal is a round diamond with a smaller one set behind it in a teardrop-shaped claw setting, so the column reads as a long line of separate sparkles rather than one solid block.

Can I shower or sleep in them?
Showering is fine — solid 14K gold does not tarnish, has no plating to wear through and does not react to water or sweat. These sit on a post with a push-on back, so for sleeping either check the back is pushed firmly up to the lobe or take them out overnight, since a hanging shape can catch on a pillow. Soap film, lotion and hairspray dull any gold: soak them now and then in warm water with a drop of mild soap, rinse, and dry with a soft cloth.

Are they too much for daytime?
Not really, and that is half the point. They are long enough to read as an evening earring with a black dress, and slim enough - about a centimetre wide - to sit with a shirt collar or a knit at the office. The three small drops at the bottom move when you turn your head, which does most of the work.

Can I wear them every day?
You can. Solid 14K white gold is gold all the way through and does not tarnish. Claw settings like a little care: take them out to sleep and before sport, keep hairspray and lotion off them, and now and then give them a gentle wash in warm, mildly soapy water with a soft brush between the petals. A jeweller can check the claws once a year.

Are these earrings good for sensitive ears?
Yes. The part that touches your piercing is sterling silver (under 18K gold vermeil), 316L surgical steel, or solid 14K gold depending on the tier you choose — all three are nickel-safe and the same metals piercing studios use for fresh piercings. The reaction most people blame on "gold earrings" is actually nickel or brass in cheap posts, and there is none in ours. If your ears are very reactive, choose the 18K gold vermeil or solid gold option and wipe the posts with a little rubbing alcohol before the first wear.
