30 days to return, unused and in its original packaging with the order slip. Personalized and engraved pieces are final sale unless they arrive damaged or incorrect — contact us within 7 days of delivery.

What does 925 mean on jewelry?
That the metal is sterling silver — 92.5% pure silver, alloyed with a little copper for strength, because pure silver is too soft to hold a shape. You will find the 925 stamp on the sterling silver base of our gold vermeil pieces and on the Silver versions, which are that same sterling, polished. It is the mark that tells you there is something worth having under the gold.
What is the difference between gold vermeil, gold plated and gold filled?
The base metal and how much gold is on it. Gold plated is a thin layer of gold (often half a micron) over brass or zinc; it looks right for weeks or months. Gold vermeil is a thick layer of gold — legally at least 2.5 microns — over sterling silver; it looks right for years and is what we use. Gold filled is a heavy gold layer mechanically bonded to brass, durable but brass underneath. Vermeil is the only one of the three with a precious metal all the way through.
What is this earring made of?
316L surgical stainless steel with 18K gold plating — the same steel used for medical implants, which is why it is hypoallergenic and why it does not rust, pit or turn your skin green. This is our everyday tier: built for people who live in their jewelry and never want to take it off for the gym, the shower or the sea. It is not the tier we recommend for heirloom personalization — that is 18K gold vermeil — but for a piece you will actually wear every single day, it is hard to beat.
Does gold plated jewelry tarnish, and how long does it last?
Standard gold plating wears through in weeks to months, and then the brass underneath tarnishes and can turn skin green. Gold vermeil — a gold layer five times thicker over sterling silver — holds its colour for years with normal care, which is why ours carries a 2-year warranty. The habits that decide it: off before water and the gym, on after perfume and lotion, and stored in its pouch.
How do I store jewelry so it doesn't tarnish?
Dry, dark, and separate. Air and humidity tarnish silver and dull gold, so the pouch each piece arrives in is the right home — one piece per pouch, so chains do not scratch stones. A closed jewelry box in a bedroom beats an open dish in a bathroom every time. For silver you wear rarely, a zip bag with the air pressed out keeps it bright for years.
Is this stainless steel earring waterproof?
Yes — fully. Shower in it, swim in it, sweat in it, sleep in it. 316L surgical steel does not rust and the gold plating is bonded to a base that will not corrode underneath it, which is the failure point for cheap plated jewelry. If it ever looks dull, warm water, a drop of mild soap and a soft cloth bring it back. The only thing we still recommend taking off for is a chlorinated hot tub, and that is more about the chlorine than the steel.
Is this jewelry hypoallergenic and nickel-free?
Yes. The metals that touch your skin are sterling silver (under 18K gold vermeil), 316L surgical stainless steel, or solid 14K gold depending on the piece — all nickel-safe, all used by piercing studios for that reason. The reactions people get from "gold" jewelry come from nickel and brass alloys under thin plating; there is no nickel in ours.
Does it come in a gift box?
Yes — every order arrives in our signature gift box with a suede pouch, ready to hand over. No extra wrapping, no receipt inside the box. If it is going straight to the recipient, add a gift note at checkout and we leave the pricing out of the package.
How fast does this earring ship?

We ship worldwide; international delivery runs 5 to 14 business days depending on the destination, and any customs duties are the buyer's.
Are these earrings good for sensitive ears?
Yes. The part that touches your piercing is sterling silver (under 18K gold vermeil), 316L surgical steel, or solid 14K gold depending on the tier you choose — all three are nickel-safe and the same metals piercing studios use for fresh piercings. The reaction most people blame on "gold earrings" is actually nickel or brass in cheap posts, and there is none in ours. If your ears are very reactive, choose the 18K gold vermeil or solid gold option and wipe the posts with a little rubbing alcohol before the first wear.
