Every piece starts as a sketch in our Miami studio — the hoops, the chains, the name necklaces, all of it. Then it's made by hand, to order, in that same studio.
Stackable rings are bought one at a time and worn three at a time. This collection covers thin bands, twisted rope, bezel-set singles and three-stone rows, plus birthstone and initial versions to slot in. 18K gold vermeil over solid sterling silver, or gold plated, gold, silver and rose gold, US sizes 3 to 12, from $45.
Three is the number that reads as deliberate. Two looks like you meant to add a third; four starts to bind at the knuckle when your hands swell. Odd numbers sit better than even, and mixing widths — two thin, one slightly wider — stops it reading as one thick band.
Yes, and it's the current way to do it. The rule that keeps it from looking accidental is to repeat — if there's silver on one finger, put silver somewhere else in the stack too. One odd metal among three matched ones reads as a mistake; two and two reads as a choice.
Your normal size, or a half size up if you're wearing three on one finger. Stacked bands sit higher on the finger than a single ring and the combined width makes them harder to get over the knuckle. Buy one first, wear it a week, then size the rest to match.
Plain bands, easily — sterling silver is forgiving and a jeweller can move it two sizes without trouble. Rings with stones set all the way round can't be sized at all, whatever they're made of. Bezel-set singles size fine as long as the stone sits on one side.
Yes, and there's no avoiding it — metal against metal all day marks both. On solid sterling that's surface scratching you can polish out. On plated rings it thins the coating at the contact edges, which is where any stack shows wear first. It's the honest trade-off of wearing three at once.
Index and middle carry a stack best. The ring finger reads as engagement whatever's on it, so a stack there invites questions. Splitting across two fingers of the same hand — two on one, one on the next — looks more considered than piling all three in one place.
